Architect's concept design - Front Facade
The existing dated, dark and small home offered a lot of potential for a creative solution, located on a large block on the high side of the street with the ideal North facing sloping back yard.
This family home had a poor relationship with the rear with access through the laundry only, limiting flow from living areas.
The concept design sought to open the living areas out to the backyard and to elevate the floor extension to allow flow directly out to the sloping rear and minimise excavation. The living spaces were located along the rear incorporating a skillion roof and high level windows to maximise sunlight. The design was to incorporate a large pool off the living area with a covered alfresco area and outdoor breakfast bar off the kitchen for entertaining.
A new butterfly roof design creates a more modern and impressive facade integrating seamlessly and completely transforming this older home.
